Santa Monica is developing a new IP: it has nothing to do with the new God of War
According to a report by foreign media thegamer citing ResetEra, Santa Monica Studios, famous for the God of War series, is developing a new IP.
A ResetEra user noticed that a developer in Santa Monica had mentioned the new IP while detailing his work experience, indicating that a game unrelated to God of War was in the works.
A description of the new IP can be found on the developer's LinkedIn profile: "Santa Monica Studios offered me the opportunity to come back as a character design director, overseeing the character development process, and on their new IP. I'm excited to be working with Santa Monica again to advance the development of the game's characters."
Last March, Santa Monica also said that "the studio is looking for an experienced technical artist to develop a new unannounced project," a position that requires practitioners who can appreciate games, enjoy playing, and enjoy making games. Senior technical artists are responsible for both artistic creation and programming. They need to deeply understand the relationship between art and technology, and use their own hands to bring wonderful art to the game.
